My name is Kaylie, I am the creator behind Kaylie Reads but I am also:

• A photographer- I actually Co-own my own photography business with my childhood best friend! We’ve been best friends for 30 years and have been doing what we love together for over 12! We specialize in Weddings and Family portraits!

• A wife- I was a covid bride, my husband and I eloped on the lake I grew up on. Our first dance was on a giant rock in the middle of the lake!

• A cat mom- I have two cats Remy & Luna, they both oversee all parts of my production!

• A lover of the outdoors- I love being outside. If I am not making bookmarks, wrapping books, or photographing a wedding, I am usually helping out at a local farm, Lavender Hill Farm, where I have planted Christmas trees, lavender plants, and even helped birth a baby lamb! Or I am hiking and enjoying the outdoors with my family and friends!

• A Reader- Obviously :) I enjoy all genres but my favorites are Dark Romance (yes give me all the smut!), Fantasy, Thriller and Horror! Some of my all time favorite authors are: Riley Sager, Sarah J Maas, Jeneva Rose, Leigh Rivers, H.D Carlton, Rebecca Yarros, and Lisa Gardner.

• I care deeply about the environment and make an effort to keep my business sustainable. I use gently used thrifted books in an effort to keep books out of landfills. I source most of my flowers from events I attend, local small florists, or simply found on the side of the road! I reuse packaging material as much as possible and enjoy giving back to green initiatives. I do NOT use gen AI in any of my work.

• A lake girl- I don’t take a lot of breaks but when I do you can absolutely catch me at the lake, book and cocktail in hand!

• A spooky b*tch- Halloween is my favorite holiday, but I embody spooky season year round!
